These liminal first weeks of winter
3:03
Rain over Christmas, but it’s cleared up now. For some reason I thought I had nothing to do until New Year’s when in actuality, I’ve been and will be at the cafe. It’s been nice though! We all really like each other and even when it’s hard it’s kind of fun.
So that’s how I’m spending the limbo days of early winter. Yesterday evening I had a long phone call with Kaylie and made a resume to send to yoga studios in the new year.
Reader!! Have you been reflecting on your new year? This season is a big deal for planner girls like me and I love to hear about the little rituals people have when it comes to making yearly intentions. If you’re feeling lacking in little rituals yourself, take a look at your personal year in numerology—I made this pdf to be a sort of conversation starter at my planner party this month.
I’m knocking small items off my to-do list, but things won’t feel fully in swing again for another week. In these in-between days, I sit in the last corner of sun in the backyard after work. I turn my heater on and off, I mentally prepare for the drop of my favorite yoga challenge. I hum made-up love songs like a disney princess. I touch blooming roses in passing.
Hope you’re well x
